Sylvania Striders

Hi. Just a quick reminder that we will not have Striders tomorrow. Finally, practice will be held all four days next week (M, T, TH, F). This does include July 4th. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good morning. Out of an abundance of caution, I have decided to cancel practice this morning. Our area is expected to have the potential for severe storms around 9:00am. This is at the conclusion of practice and my concern is that if storms hit early, we may still be on the trails. A make day will be offered Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

Hi. We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. The first two weeks of Striders went really well. The kids are working hard and having fun out on the trails. As we enter week three, we wanted to provide a few updates. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

We had an amazing first day of Striders! It was nice to see so many athletes at the park this morning and they all did a great job. If you know of other families that might be interested, please share the website with them. It is not too late to join!

The sign up form for 2024 Summer Striders is now open!Click on the “Sign Up” tab on the menu and complete the online form. Who: Any 6th– 8th grade athlete that wants to explore distance runningand/or wants to get ready for cross country in the fall. What: –  Structured, 8-Week Training Program.–  Certified Coaches, running the trails with the athletes.–  Striders T-Shirt included. When: June  10th – August 2, 2024  (8 weeks)Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday  —  8:00 – 9:00 AM Sylvania Striders Family PicnicAugust 3, 2024 from 12-2:00PM at Stranahan Elementary School,Includes:  1 mile Time-Trial, games, food, and fun for the whole family.  Where: Stranahan Elementary School – We will meet in the back of the school. Other Important Facts: Athletes need to be picked up promptly at 9:00 AM.
